The Bloom Menofesto

One of Bloom’s key aims is to lead and support industry-wide initiatives and outputs that create lasting change for women in the workplace. We strive to offer the industry practical advice and initiatives that tackle the real barriers women face at work. The Bloom Menofesto is an example of this and is designed to create real impact in the way that menopause is viewed and supported.

This is our Bloom Menofesto for change: change in the language, support and understanding given to women* in the communications industry in the lead up to, during and after their menopause.

Backed by our own Bloom ‘Understanding Menopause’ research carried out in late 2021, and with input from our members, it is a starting point to encourage an open dialogue within organisations to destigmatise & normalise something that 51% of the UK population will experience in their life. 

We are delighted to have collaborated with Major Players to share these results, highlight the support that is much needed in the workplace and offer a blueprint menopause support framework for business leaders to adopt with their organisations.

The Bloom Mpower watermark can be used within all marketing and recruitment materials, on socials, websites etc. as a mark of excellence in peri/menopause support and allyship.

About Bloom Mpower

Bloom Mpower was established to ‘mpower’ midlife
and beyond: to change the narrative around midlife and menopause, reframing attitudes, and pushing for age diversity and inclusivity to increase the longevity of women’s careers. Bloom Mpower launched the first ‘Understanding Menopause’ survey in late 2021.
