We strive to future proof women’s careers, spearhead industry change and pay it forward for the next generation. To fulfil this ambition and capitalise on the brilliant network of women we have built, we are launching a new programme: Bloom Boost.
Bloom Boost is designed to support, grow and empower our female industry leaders of tomorrow.
The programme is open to all former Bloom mentees who have not yet reached the 7+ years experience required to join the Bloom members network. Owing to the current COVID-19 climate we couldn’t think of a better time to launch this amazing new programme, where new Boost members will have access to Bloom member support, a dedicated community and new workshops.
For BloomFest 2019, Bloom UK partnered with UM London on a quantitative study to uncover just how ‘Future Fit’ our industry really is. Capturing a cross section of men and women, across across all sectors, the 300+ study shone a spotlight on what a progressive comms industry really looks like, and the behaviours we’d need to adopt to deliver it. The aim was to go beyond the inclusive policies and positive press stories, and create tangible learnings and actions that everyone can implement in their own workplaces.
2020 Focus: The ethos of The Exchange is to open up a refreshingly honest dialogue between the genders, help break down the stereotypes that limit the way we interact in the workplace and work together to make our industry more equal for all. This year, we think the programme is more important than ever. We are living through an immense period of change and the way we work has never been transformed so quickly. The Coronavirus crisis has impacted us all in a variety of ways, and although men are more likely to contract coronavirus research shows that women are more likely to have been made redundant or furloughed during this time.
