INCLUSIVE
Everyone is welcome at Bloom. We don’t judge anyone on their gender, sexuality, race, disability, age, experience or social background. Yes, our member base is female, however we want to welcome all opinions without bias. In fact, we welcome it, as diversity of thought brings the best ideas to the table.
REAL
We pride ourselves on being honest and aren’t afraid to make ourselves vulnerable as we tackle the barriers to our success. We understand the strength in our ‘naked truths,’ and know that telling our stories, no matter how hard, will inspire others and spearhead change throughout the industry.
DRIVEN
We are doers. At work, outside of work and within Bloom. We’re passionate about our mission, giving Bloom 110% with the time we can commit. Our members and leadership team are all volunteers, united in the belief that we can achieve more when we come together to smash goals.
FUN
There is a lot of heaviness and uncertainty in the world, and our lives, that we can’t control or always escape. Bloom is a place for relaxed, uplifting and inspiring initiatives and conversations to make this industry better for us all. If we’re not having fun together, then what’s the point?
MEMBERSHIP
Bloom is a professional network of women with a mission to ensure EVERY woman is given equal opportunities in the communications industry. Our highly-engaged members have been actively spearheading industry change, future proofing women’s careers and paying it forward to the next generation for 12 years. And we have raised £172,000 for Women’s Aid, our charity partner, in the process. As an entirely volunteer-led organisation, our members shape what we do and how we do it. Joining this inclusive, inspiring, and supportive community means committing to help us as we fight to achieve our mission:
As a Bloom member you will gain access to:
· A nurturing industry network across media, marketing, and communications
· Allyship groups inside Bloom including Bloom in Colour, Bloom Parenting, Bloom Neurodiversity, Bloom Mpower, Bloom Wombs & Bloom Pride (with potential scope to create your own should you wish)
· Early release ticket access for all Bloom events
· Discounted tickets for BloomFest
· Members-only networking events and skill-sharing workshops
You will have the opportunity to:
· Mentor and learn from an industry rising star or co-mentor a fellow Bloom member
· Contribute to Women’s Aid (both via 20% of your membership fee and fundraising events)
· Apply to join The Exchange, our co-mentoring programme in partnership with senior male leaders in the industry
