#BLOOMFEST: OUR ANNUAL CONFERENCE
BloomFest is a one-day conference and the flagship event for the Bloom network. It embodies our values, and aims to contribute to creating a more diverse and better balanced comms industry. One of the aims of BloomFest is to keep it affordable, and any profit made is given to Women’s Aid, our charity partner. Both women and men are welcome to attend.
THURSDAY 8 NOVEMBER 2018
FIGHTING OUR FICTIONS:
Challenging Myths within the Industry.
See highlights from the event below.
Where BloomFest 2017 sought to uncover the industry's Naked Truths, featuring the industry's first confessions booth, the 2018 theme wasFighting Our Fictions: Challenging myths within the industry. We believe that myths within our industry are barriers to women realising their ambitions. Accepted fictions about power, privilege, pay, parenthood and beyond, become the basis upon which the industry is built and influence how women shape ourselves and our careers. At BloomFest 2018, we uncovered and met these fictions head on, challenging the narratives woven into the workplace and ourselves in order to drive real change.
